School Council

This year we had a proper ballot with speeches and a polling station to elect our representatives.

The school council is here to help make school a happy place. Every child in school can make suggestions by talking to one of the representatives. We have regular school council meetings where the children share any issues which have been brought to their attention, discuss changes and fundraising ideas as well as plan for future events.

Some of our highlights  include:

  • The Harvest collection for Storehouse, an organisation that helps feed vulnerable families in Bolton.
  • The Christmas Toy Appeal for Bolton Lions, a charity that helps children at Christmas in Bolton.
  • We have planned and delivered a whole school assembly on ‘Anti’Bullying’ with the theme ‘Change Starts With Us’. This helped to raise over £250 for the charity ‘Anti-Bullying Alliance’.
  • The ‘We Are Family’ themed week, which included lots of planning and preparation in delivering an assembly to introduce the week, this included acting, a story about families and even a little dancing and singing!
